What is so different about Sassysigns?
A house sign is often the first thing someone sees when visiting and can add to the visual impact of a home. Unfortunately, the humble house sign is often an afterthought and not given the attention it is due. Take a drive within your suburb and you will find that most house signs are similar in style and design.

Here at Sassysigns, we aim to address the general lack of variety in house signage design by offering vogue custom made house signage for homes of every style. Sassysigns is all about individuality. Our website offers a fully interactive online sign creator to enable you to personalize your signage to set your house apart from your neighbours, choosing from a variety of contemporary styles, fonts, colours and background styles, all at your own convenience. There is no special software required to run our online sign creator. Your design and any changes made are displayed in real time. More importantly, the design process is fun. So have a go and indulge in your creativity! Be different!

Where is Sassysigns?
Sassysigns is based in Melbourne, Australia. All our signs are made and shipped from Melbourne.

Where can I buy Sassysigns products?
Sassysigns products can only be purchased online. Our business and website is setup to provide you with the convenience of designing your individual house signage in your own time without the need to visit a signage shop. This saves you considerable time and money. We are also able to offer our products to you at competitive prices because we don’t carry the expense in having a retail store.

What is the warranty for Sassysigns products?
All of our products carry a 12 month warranty. Our warranty does not cover damage or defects arising from accidental damage during handling, vandalism, theft, cleaning with harsh chemicals or products, and faulty installation. In order for us to investigate and process any warranty claims, please send any defective product to our postal address and contact us with the details of your claim. i.e. description of fault, purchase order number and expected outcome. We will endeavour to settle any warranty claims within 14 working days from the time of receiving the defective product/s and claim. Please note that colour variations may occur between the actual product and its corresponding image presented on our website depending on the screen and setting which the image is being viewed.

What are the signs made from?
The acrylic signs are made from ‘glass acrylic’ - a high quality Perspex which has both the aesthetic appeal and durability of glass. Perspex is lighter tougher than glass making it ideal for signage applications. The backgrounds and fonts for glass acrylic signs are made of UV stable vinyl, rated for both indoor and outdoor use. Our metal series signs are made from Alumabond composite panels. Custom signs can be made from a variety of other materials, including plywood, stainless steel and Corten steel (weathering steel) and aluminium. 

How do I install my house sign?
All glass acrylic house signs come with pre-drilled mounting holes and anodized aluminium standoffs. General installation instructions for the glass acrylic signs can be found and downloaded from our installation page. Please note that installation instructions provided on our website serve as a guide only. Sassysigns recommends installation by professionals. Appropriate safety measures and equipment should be used during installation. Acrylic can be brittle. Do not apply excessive force when securing standoffs. Sassysigns is not responsible for any personal injuries or damages to the product arising from installation. Our metal series signs can be secured using suitable "liquid" nails.

How do I clean my house sign?
Signs should be cleaned using just a soft cloth and warm soapy water. DO NOT clean your sign with any abrasive products (e.g. scour, sandpaper) or harsh solutions (e.g. bleach, acid) which will discolour or etch surfaces.

How quickly can I get my house sign?
Once you have placed your order and payment has been cleared, we aim to dispatch your order within 2 to 3 weeks. Any delays will be advised via email.

How do I create my design?
Our website offers a fully interactive online sign creator to enable you to personalise your signage choosing from a variety of contemporary styles, fonts, colours and background styles. Just follow the steps listed on the design page. There is no special software required to run our online sign creator. Your design and any changes made are displayed in real time.

How do I create a sign using my own artwork or photograph?
If you have your own artwork or photograph, you can go to the glass acrylic custom house signs page and follow the instructions for uploading your artwork or photograph. We will send you a final proof for approval before manufacturing the sign.

I can’t find the sign design that I like?
We can produce most signs to any size, shape or colour. Please contact us with a description of what you would like for a free no obligation quote.

Can I select different fonts when designing my sign?
Yes. Sassysigns provide you with several different font types for you to choose from.

What colours can my design be in?
The text and background in your signage design can be coloured differently. Take a browse through some previously created designs in our product gallery (at the bottom of the design page for each product) to get some ideas. Our vinyls come in 16 different colours for you to choose.

How much does it cost?
Costs for various sign designs are clearly stated on the product pages.

Is postage extra?
Yes. Postage and handling are charged according to the fees stipulated by Australia Post. Multiple purchases placed under the same order will be sent in a single delivery; if the order weight is within the weight limit stated by Australia Post for a single registered post satchel. Order weights exceeding the single registered post satchel weight limit will have to be separated and charged as multiple deliveries. Once you have placed your order and payment has been cleared, we aim to dispatch your order within 2 to 3 weeks. Any delays will be advised via email .

What if I need to return my purchase?
Every order is created based on your individual specifications and enters the production queue as soon as the order is confirmed. We do not accept cancellations or returns after your payment is confirmed. We will accept returns only if there is a fault with your product or if an error has been made by us during production. We understand that in certain circumstances, design changes may be required after an order is lodged. If you contact us within 24 hours after your order is placed, we will be able to make alterations to your original design specifications.
